Private Collection. I traveled with a puppet theatre troupe to Poland, the Soviet Union and Finland in 1990. We were part of a festival, bringing together puppeteers from those three countries and the United States for the first time. It was a wonderful period of hope and dreams at the end of the Cold War. This portrait depicts members of the Moscow based Russian troupe in a field outside Warsaw.
